International classes
International classes are the major mode cooperation for CERNET EDU with its domestic partners. As the world witnesses China’s economic growth along with deepened globalization and trade integration, demands for those with international talents grow with each passing day. On the basis of Cernet’s MOE background in China and its good relations with schools and universities, CERNET is playing an active role in conducting international classes with domestic high schools by utilizing the resources of MAIA and UMASS.

Internationalized talents are those with global vision, thoughts, knowledge, and skills. CERNET’s international business classes specialize in nurturing this kind of talent with the paradigm of “study in both domestic & overseas classrooms”、curriculum of “common + international courses”、teaching faculties of Chinese & American teachers、evaluation standards of “tests + teacher evaluations”、matriculation guarantees to “UMASS + other top-ranked universities”, to lay solid foundation for students in their three years of high school study and to become international talents in the immediate future.

Business Model
The business model domestically is to cooperate with accredited top high schools in China. After spending two or two and a half years in China, students will obtain dual-admission to UMASS-MAIA and then spend half to a full year in MAIA. Students will either matriculate to UMASS or take the SAT or TOEFL tests to apply to other top-ranked universities in the U.S.
